Spark Master Tape ‘The #SWOUP Serengeti’ (.ZIP)
MishkaNYC is probably my favorite streetwear brand out. My closet is seriously full of their t-shirts. And they’ve got a great track-record when it comes to releasing music. That Yung Lean nonsense aside.
Their newest release, ‘The #SWOUP Serengeti’, comes from Spark Master Tape. He’s a somewhat mysterious emcee with ultra-street lyrics and a pitch-shifted voice. Is he for real? Is it all a put on? You decide.
It reminds me of a cross between Serengeti & Hi-Fidel’s turn as ‘Friday Night’ and Noah23’s ‘Occult Trill’ series of mixtapes. It could be a mess. The outstanding production of Paper Platoon holds it all together though.
Who is Spark Master Tape? Who gives a fuck. The tape is free, and is sure to satisfy fans of the aforementioned Friday Night and Noah23, as well as the likes of Flatbush ZOMBiES, Flash Bang Grenada, and A$AP Mob, among others.
