DJ/emcee extraordinaire Edan gets busy with a mic, two turntables and a pair of Poets of Rhythm doubles to promote ‘The Poets of Rhythm Anthology: 1992-2003’, out now on Daptone Records.
Both Edan and the Poets of Rhythm are old Urban Alternatives dandies and I’ve been lucky enough to see Edan pull his rapping while cutting and scratching schtick live on several occasions.
The Poets of Rhythm are indeed funky as fuck, and Edan might be one of the best live performers, not to mention DJs, I’ve ever seen in my life, so cop the Anthology and catch Edan live some time.
