Baroque beatmaker Son Lux has made records for Post-Rap posterboys anticon. and collaborated with Imageyenation dandy Serengeti, and Sufjan Stevens, as Sisyphus.
“Easy”, the latest single from his most recent album ‘Lanterns’, is dark, soulful (with horn stabs that call back to Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You”), and sexy as hell.
And the video, which is only mildly NSFW, practically oozes forbidden sensuality in manner that perfectly suits the song’s lyrics and sonic sensibility.
‘Lanterns’ is out now on Joyful Noise, as is the “Easy” single which features a remix with Lorde (yes, that Lorde) on vocals.
