“Unpaid Internship”, the new single and video from model turned singer ONWE (pronounced like ennui), is exactly what I needed right about now.
The song is reminiscent of a lot of the Swedish indie bands I was loving several years back (though ONWE himself is all Brooklyn) and just reminds me of IMAGEYENATION’s heyday in a big, big way.
The video itself, featuring ONWE traipsing around the hood with a boombox rocking every and anyone he comes into contact with, is just pure unadulterated fun.
“Unpaid Internship” is the b-side to ONWE’s “jk bb” single, which you can find (but maybe not buy), on his Bandcamp page.
