Surprisingly, Swedish Future-Soulsters Little Dragon pick up where their “Klapp Klapp” video left off in the clip for their new single “Pretty Girls”.
The tune bubbles funkily, invoking classics like “Juicy Fruit” and “Hangin’ on a String”, while the video finds our voodoo priestess successfully resurrecting a few minions before being spirited away to work her magic on an unsuspecting group of pageant attendees cum auction bidders.
The Nabil directed clip is pretty striking, both visually and thematically, especially when juxtaposed against the ethereal sound of the tune.
“Pretty Girls” is the latest single from Little Dragon’s ‘Nabuma Rubberband’ LP, which is out now on Loma Vista Recordings.
