When veteran Hip-Hop trio De La Soul dropped their ninth full length album ‘and the Anonymous Nobody… ‘ last Summer I wasn’t trying to hear it. It was just too much of a departure from the sampladelic production aesthetic that put them on the map for me me and I played the project as far to the left as I possibly could.
While I wasn’t checking for that collection of songs at all, I absolutely am checking for the newest single, “Drawn” featuring Swedish Electro-Jazz act Little Dragon, to be taken from it. Admittedly I big part of the reason I’m digging “Drawn” is the video, which stars an absolutely gorgeous actress and features bondage and bathtub masturbation.
But let’s be real “Drawn” is really a Little Dragon song, not a De La Soul song.
